Bio

Christian has been involved professionally in experiential and adventure forms of work since 1983. His BSW, MSW and PhD in social work have all focused in and around experiential and adventure forms of work. He has worked for Outward Bound and a number of other adventure and experiential programs. His research and writing all focus around experiential, adventure and group work as a part of the change process. He has been privileged to present his work around the world including in the context of the International Adventure Therapy Conference. He has been active in the Association for Experiential Education serving as the chair of the board twice, serving on numerous regional and the international conference committee, and in multiple leadership roles within the Therapeutic Adventure Professional Group. His passion for this work is centrally focused on experiential work being core to social change.
