Bio

Jennifer Kaluhiokalani is a licensed clinical social worker trained in multiple modalities including EMDR, PE, DBT, ACT, and IFS. Ms. Kaluhiokalani has provided individual and group therapy at community-based organizations across South Los Angeles. In her current position as lead clinical supervisor, she provides clinical supervision to a team of nine clinicians, and coaches staff in program innovation to promote client, staff, community, and stakeholder outcomes.

In 2017, Ms. Kaluhiokalani co-founded and runs a nonprofit dedicated to providing innovative nature, recreation, creative, and therapeutic interventions to individuals with co-occurring disorders through “summer-camp” style retreats. This idea was borne from her own experiences in childhood – both in surviving childhood trauma, her family’s devotion to the outdoors, the profound experience of nature as a great equalizer, love of collaboration and community, and the sense of connection and creative self-expression found during summers spent at sleep-away camp in adolescence.
